Welcome to ZippDroid
As part of the rebuild and removal of all GPT content, I wanted to revisit some old titles. While the original post wasn’t necessarily wrong and I still want to discuss many of the same things, it wasn’t a great read.
As of today, ZippDroid is a lifestyle blog where I can talk about and share my hobbies. Those things haven’t changed since the last post, so I’ll still be focusing on programming, tech reviews, LEGO, Peloton, sports, and way more.
The old post also mentioned being ‘engaging and informative,’ but it offered nothing to help with that. To make this post a little different, I wanted to give a demo around the ZippDroid custom content management system.
Overall, the blog was a cool thing to build, but the real magic was when I turned the ZippDroid dashboard into a complete Life Operating System.
What I mean by that is that I can now manage my entire ZippDroid website (the categories, comments, posts) from the dashboard, but that’s not it. I can also manage my Printify products. I can also view and manage my Stripe orders. Oh wait, there’s more. I can also update clients and create invoices. Manage newsletters. Upload or edit media such as photos and videos. This thing is great and I don’t ever have to leave ZippDroid. I was able to shut 2 other systems down once deciding to “bring it all in house”.
While writing this, I realized I can’t really show it off yet. Not only is it "not perfect”, but it's not FluxUI. I started this blog before Caleb and Hugo made me a better designer, so my next dev project will be Fluxifying this backend and then I’ll do a little video demo showing it off. For now enjoy the pre-Flux screenshot and how great having all of these things in one place is, and get excited for the real demo.
